What Is the Hafilat Smart Card?
The Hafilat smart card is the contactless electronic fare medium used on public buses operating across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including Abu Dhabi Island, Khalifa City, Mussafah, Yas Island, Saadiyat Island, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. Instead of cash tickets, commuters tap their Hafilat card against the electronic validator when boarding and alighting.
Each card carries an identification number on the reverse side. Passengers can maintain a stored dirham balance in AED or load 7-day and 30-day bus passes.
